We provide superior quality materials and exceptional workmanship. we also upgrade and retrofit existing chambers to meet new or future requirements Job Title: Field Service Technician Job Summary: Perform field service, including troubleshooting, repairs and retrofits of environmental chambers and laboratory equipment. Execute field-testing, calibrations, and validation testing. Perform preventative maintenance services. Service includes refrigeration, process controls and electronic systems. Assist customers by resolving problems in a prompt, efficient manner according to company policies. Assist with technical training as required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Performs Technical Service functions including:? Refrigeration System Repair? Electrical / Controls System Repair? Preventive Maintenance Services? Instrument Calibrations? Validation Services (Level III Tech)* Provides prompt, efficient responses to customer service and/or warranty repair inquiries.* Reports findings from problems found service calls and works with engineering staff to correct field problems diagnosing and coordinating corrective measures.* Maintains safe and operational company vehicle including cleaning, vehicle inventory, and general maintenance.* Order replacement parts to replenish vehicle inventory.* Diagnose system failures and take corrective action to prevent recurrence of problem.* Produce accurate documentation and reports, including: timesheets, expense reports, CFC refrigerant logs, vehicle inventory, service tickets, protocols, test documentation, final reports, etc.* Schedule travel and make reservations as needed.* Assist in development and upgrades for service manuals.* Complete Service Tickets with detailed information on the problem found, parts needed, solution and time required.* Assist with service training schools as required.* Participate in monthly meetings to discuss quality problems, new products and reliability enhancement to make the product more reliable.* Travel to customer sites for testing and/or repair product as needed. Travel up to 50-75% of the time.* Keeps the home office informed regarding status of tasks assigned through written or verbal communications and reports.* Maintains good rapport and working relationship with appropriate personnel such as purchasing, manufacturing, and engineering; also ensures an effective line of communication to appropriate personnel.* On call for after hours emergency service needs.* Keeps neat and orderly work area while at customer site.* Performs other duties as assigned.
