The Analyst ll will be responsible for the fixed asset accounting and reporting for finance purposes. Assisting with accounting functions such as posting cash. Assisting in providing analysis and accounting support for central finance functions that interface with all U.S. affiliated companies. Assist with the preparation of key management reports both for internal U.S. management and to the parent company in Ingelheim, Germany.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all fixed asset accounting/reporting requirements. This includes ensuring that additions, retirements and transfers of assets are accurately reflected in the Fixed Asset module of SAP, Gain/Loss reconciliations and compliance with the Federal Tangible Property regulations.Responsible for preparation of all information and documents required for fixed asset hard close and year-end close processes.This includes working with external auditors along with preparation of yearend forms in EC-CS for reporting to headquarters.

  • Perform periodic fixed asset audits and reconcile account activity and balances for accuracy, while making adjustments and corrections and resolving issues as needed.

  • Prepare and reconcile the daily cash activity, summarize monthly and provide supporting documentation as necessary. Post all miscellaneous cash activity and foreign exchange transactions with Germany

  • Perform various bank and account reconciliations as assigned

  • Calculate and record inter-company interest between all U.S. affiliated companies

  • Post various entries throughout the month and month-end cycles based on information provided by other functional teams. Provides analysis and supporting documentation for the interim and year-end external audits.

  • Support the monthly and annual reporting requirements in EC-CS and Prisma

  • Provide analysis supporting federal and state taxes to the Tax Department


  • BS/BA degree (or equivalent) or higher from an accredited institution, with two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience in public or private accounting (or finance)

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and a general understanding of financial reports including an income Statement and a Balance Sheet.

  • Strong Analytical & SAP skills

  • Experience and knowledge of financial processes, with the ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Must work well with individuals of all levels and backgrounds

  • Financial knowledge and background needed to perform accounting functions

  • This position requires strong cross functional collaboration skills and strategic understanding, result orientation, strong process design and implementation skills, strong communication skills with Business Partners on all levels and all OPU's. Compliance knowledge and strong overall experience with ERP platforms.
