Under the direct supervision of a Medical Technologist, a Medical Laboratory Technician would perform a variety of routine technical laboratory procedures in the clinical lab or in specimen processing stations. Duties might include but are not limited to pre-analytic preparation of specimens, including computer entry. Analysis would include routine clinical laboratory chemical, physical and microscopic examinations in the hematology, chemistry, therapeutic drug monitoring, serology or drug-of-abuse screening. Data entry, record-keeping, and scheduled or unscheduled maintenance of laboratory equipment are also required.
