Kforce DFS Technical Support Technician in New York, New York

Kforce has a client in search of a DFS Technical Support Tech in New York, New York (NY). Essential Job Functions:

  • Need 1 resource (s) to perform Break & Fix work during (Wed-Fri 9 am - 6 pm Sat-Sun 10am-7pm)

  • Candidate must maintain good customer focus meeting deadlines and service level agreements (SLA's)

  • Technician will travel to each client's location using their personal vehicle and receive a mileage reimbursement per mile

  • Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs desktop, laptop, server, and printer

  • Works under general supervision

  • Will work POS, Desktops/Laptop machines, and printer repair

  • Lexmark printer repair down to component level

  • Required to return/track parts

  • 2 years plus supporting desktops, laptops, and printers

  • 2 years plus with customer service experience

  • Able to expense mileage for travel between client locations

  • Able to work weekends, staggered or late shifts possibly including evenings and/or weekends

  • Ability to work on a ladder of lift and are able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Able to work from a bent, crouched, or kneeled position

  • Personable as they will be interacting with a wide range of users and environments

  • Basic hand tools

  • Laptop supplied by client

  • Smartphone with tethering/hot spot capabilities (Reimbursed within Corporate Guidelines)

  • Possess a valid driver's license

Preferred, not required:

  • CompTIA A

  • OEM Printer Warranty certifications

  • OEM Laptop/Desktop Warranty certifications

  • Server experience would be a bonus

  • Cisco certs highly desired

  • CompTIA A

  • DELL Laptop/Desktop Warranty certified

  • HP Laptop/Desktop Warranty certified

  • IBM/Lenovo Laptop/Desktop Warranty certified

  • Hardware/Software Support

  • Deskside support experience

  • Desktop break/fix experience

  • Field technician dispatch experience

  • Laptop break/fix experience

  • Printer break/fix experience

  • Windows 10 certification/experience

  • Cable repair experience a plus
