POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Assistant Manager, Global Event Execution you will be a key player in MAC’s special events as it relates to special initiatives (collection launches, fashion collaborations, influencer experiences, etc.)

Working closely with the Director of Global Special Events, the assistant manager will provide assistance on all global event related initiatives and act as a liaison between Global and Regional teams by providing support and project management for the International and NOAM event production and execution process.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Global Special Event Production & Execution (45%)

  • Assist in the production and execution of large-scale events

  • Produce and execute smaller-scale events including, but not limited to, internal meetings and events

International Special Event Production and Execution (45%):

  • Ensure that all venue and creative briefs/ requests are submitted on time, vetted and assigned

  • Prepare projects for presentation in weekly creative status with Global Events Associate

  • Work with regional managers to insure 360 projects are "kicked-off" properly: scope reviewed with all global stakeholders

  • Project manage key projects by working with regional managers to create critical path/timelines/estimated budgets

  • Co-produce events in collaboration with Regional managers including: Review Production/Engineering drawings, Lighting design plans, Material sample finishes, prototypes, and monitoring execution via live video calls and photo sharing

  • Collaborate closely with Creative services to ensure delivery and accuracy of creative assets

  • Collaborate with the international special events team on catering guidelines

  • Archive event photos

Independence of Action and Accountability (10%)

  • Stay current on event and experiential industry trends by creating monthly competitive reports

  • Diligence on budgets and working closely with production partners on cost-engineering

  • Relationship building with multiple department leads

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years event production and execution

  • Excellent computer skills (Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator/Photoshop, InDesign)

  • Superior project management skills

  • Strong communicator/collaborator

  • Creative problem solving
