Spectra Logic Corporation Channel Sales Representative in New York City, New York
We are seeking a competitive, self- motivated individual to join our strong and experienced sales team to cover our Value Add Reseller (VAR) community focusing on the North East region. You will be primarily prospecting and developing our VAR and Alliance Partner community. You are expected to develop knowledge and awareness within our VAR and Alliance Partner community on our technologically advanced solutions with a great ROI and a focus on data backup and archive. You will work the entire relationship with our VAR’s and Alliance Partners. We will provide you with training, tools and a team of professionals to support your efforts. Experience: We are seeking an individual who possesses the following qualities:
At least two years in computer/storage sales, plus experience selling technology solutions (hardware or software).
Proven success in Channel Development is extremely important and critical to position.
The ability to develop a prospect list of VARS, build current VAR relationships, and nurture Alliance Partnerships is paramount.
Knowledge of key VARS and contacts in the East Region is preferred.
A history of exceeding sales targets and annual quota goals is helpful.
Above average presentation skills.
Strong internal desire to succeed in a dynamic fast-growth industry
Previous experience selling storage hardware or software (tape libraries, disk storage devices or backup application software) preferred but not required.
Territory: North East Region.
Location: Home office located in North Jersey, New York City, Philadelphia, or close surrounding areas. No relocation assistance provided - local candidates only please.
Territory Team: The territory team, in support of the Enterprise Sales Rep, will consist of an Order Administrator, a Sales Operations Specialist (SOS), Channel Sales Rep (CSR), and a Systems Architect (SA).
Education: Business or Technical College Degree or Military Experience is preferred.
Travel: Position will require at least 75% travel, both air and auto.
Status: Full Time, Direct Hire Exempt Position
Compensation: Base + Commission + Bonus (dependent on experience)
