JetBlue Airways Corp. Coordinator D&A Compliance in Long Island City, New York

Position Summary

The Coordinator performs various administrative functions to ensure compliance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Department of Transportation (DOT), and state testing regulations.

Essential Responsibilities

Schedules drug and alcohol specimen collections in accordance with Federal and State regulations and JetBlue policy and standards

Works with business partners to ensure that testing is coordinated and daily schedules are available

Provides expert testimony to any FAA, NTSB, and State investigations and hearings as required

Upload and store information to various SharePoint sites

Maintains breath alcohol machine calibration schedule

Tracks test results and audits for accuracy with mandatory guidelines

Facilitates educational classes as needed

Responsible for on-call phone rotation duties

Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma

Two (2) years’ experience in a service oriented role

Must complete course on Urine Drug Collections, Saliva Testing, Breath Alcohol Testing and become certified

Available for frequent travel (30%)

In possession of valid travel documentation with the ability to travel in and out of the United States

Willing to assist in collections outside of normal business hours as needed

Able to travel and/or work variable hours, flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends

Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge

Depending on location, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance

When on call, must be able to report within one (1) hour of notice to assigned location

Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree

One (1) years previous drug and/or alcohol specimen collection experience and/or medical experience

Completed Urine Drug Collections, Saliva Testing, Breath Alcohol Testing

Proficient with Microsoft Outlook suite, primarily Excel

Ability to work with minimum supervision

Maintain schedule flexibility

Ability to work in a team environment

Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written

Excellent organizational skills

Knowledge of FAA Drug & Alcohol regulations

Regular attendance and punctuality

Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
