  • DAYS

  • High School/GED

  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association

  • Respiratory Care License (NJ)

  • 2 years of experience

JOB PURPOSE:

  • Under medical direction Respiratory therapists assist patients of all ages who suffer from pulmonary (breathing) disorders. In addition to analyzing and performing diagnostic testing, respiratory therapists perform relevant exams and control patient's blood-oxygen levels, as well as set up and utilize cardiopulmonary equipment and machines needed to assist or monitor the patients breathing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)

  • Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapist Program

  • Must possess a current NJ state Respiratory Care Licensure

  • Current BLS certification or acquired within three months Effective written and verbal skills

  • Good priority skills
