Under guidance, provides day to day administrative and technical support to an assigned group of group benefit customers/prospects. Duties include: responding to prospect/client inquiries and requests for information; processing applications and renewals; checking documents for accuracy; inputting data; maintaining files; assembling documents and preparing material for meets with clients and prospects. May assist with marketing efforts.

This individual must understand group insurance coverage (medical, prescription drug, life, short/long term disability, vision, dental and voluntary insurance) by plan and how all lines of group insurance work. They must have strong EXCEL skills utilizing formulas and work at a quick, accurate pace. Ability to quickly create tables that are included in our client presentations. Creation of client ready PowerPoint presentations is required. Must be detailed oriented and have excellent follow up skills. The main job duties:

  1. Create a client in our agency management systems (data entry) and BenefitPoint and attach all documents in our electronic filing system.

  2. Create spreadsheets under the direction of our Account Executive pulling data directly from the insurance company quotes and renewal information.

  3. Complete all of the required Compliance documents under the direction of the AE that include: HIPAA Agreement Instruction Form, New Business Reference Guide/Checklist, Renewal Reference Guide/Checklist, Sales Disclosures and NJ Disclosures.

  4. Run Renewal Reports our of our agency management system monthly to keep on top of the accounts for themselves and the AE's they are supporting.

  5. Run the newly created Book of Business reports on a quarterly basis and as requested confirming that all data is accurate.

  6. Able to work in a team environment in order to deliver exceptional client service.

  7. Conduct Open Enrollment meetings.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements./

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of customer service experience

  • A BS/BA degree or higher

  • Basic Microsoft Office skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Experience with Group employee benefits in an insurance brokerage office

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
