Investors Bank Business Banking Analyst in Short Hills, New Jersey

POSITION OBJECTIVES Under the direction of the Business Banking Manager, the Business Banking Analyst will be responsible for assisting Government Banking, the Advisory Board Department, Professional Services, and NFP, with tracking, reporting, and analysis of data. RESPONSIBILITIES REPORTING & TRACKING Government Banking: Create, implement and maintain detailed reporting and analysis of Government Banking (Deposits of $3.1 billion) * pipeline, weekly updates, and other ad hoc reports as needed; Provide ongoing analysis and management of all Government Banking reporting; Track competitor Bank deposits via GUPDA; Develop deposit trends based on client cash flows; Track leads, follow up activities, and closed business generated from conventions; Analyze Foundation-Grant-Sponsorship requests; Advisory Board: Create, implement and maintain detailed reporting of Advisory Boards (Four boards, 140 Advisors) * Monthly statements, incentive reports, quarterly advisory board newsletter, quarterly advisory board deposit snapshot, and other ad hoc reports as needed; Develop standardized reporting by utilizing MIS; Maintain distribution reporting and verification; Maintain and update Advisory Board contact list; Manage removal, sign in, trip qualifier and budget reporting; Manage and track referrals; Professional Services: Create, implement and maintain detailed reporting of Professional Services * Leads, follow up activities and closed business generated from conventions; leads, follow up activities, and closed business generated from CLE/CPE seminars; leads generated from sponsorships (NJCPA & NJBAR); leads from the retail branch network; balance reporting forapproved law firms; and other ad hoc reports as needed NFP: Create, implement, and maintain detailed reporting of NFP * Leads, follow up activities and closed business from Care2Share presentations; leads, follow up activities and closed business from NFP conferences, develop and implement pipeline reporting; and other ad hoc reports as needed ANALYTICS: * Generate, reviews, and understands reports. Uses aggregate data from multiple sources to assist in creating a complete analysis, improvement, or recommendation. Identify trends in data and make sound recommendations based on the patterns observed. Reviews the accuracy of information provided and responds to requests from management and vendors. Analyzes trends in general business conditions and utilizes data to influence business decisions. Meets with each of line of business to review various reports and identify business analysis needs. Utilize collected data to produce projects, solutions, and direction to benefit the overall production of the department. Utilize data to develop and maintain appropriate policies and procedures for each line of business. PROJECT MANAGEMENT: * Initiate and coordinate the establishment of new accounts with clients and Deposit Operations; assist in the follow up for new services and accounts or client issues; Manage the Advisory Board department intranet page and update Public Share by inputting new advisors for branch personnel; Initiate projects via MIS-Deposit Ops ADMINISTRATION: * Record, track, and follow through on Advisor referrals with various departments; obtain confidentiality agreements for all advisors; Schedule and facilitate quarterly Advisory Board meetings; order supplies for meetings; Facilitate annual trip planning and execution REQUIREMENTS A Bachelor's degree or comparable training and 3-5 years of banking/finance experience are required. Superior written and verbal communication skills are required. Must posess strong analytical skills. Must have advanced reporting capabilities. Must posess strong technical skills. Must be flexible, willing to adapt to schedule changes, and attend Bank functions as needed. The position requires attending bank events, COI events and advisory board events before and after standard banking hours and weekends. Must possess good organizational skills, communication, and telephone skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and be able to work independently.
