The Sr. Pricing Analyst will provide analytics and insights to cross-functional business partners, most notably Merchandising, Marketing, and Inventory, on strategies related to pricing, promotions, and markdowns. This is a highly visible role within the organization that requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence. The ideal candidate will be able to synthesize large amounts of data, and present in a simplistic manner.
Provide support and recommendations to Merchandising in managing price indices and promotions while still achieving business targets
Partner with Merchandising to establish pricing and promotional roles of managed categories
Set up pricing and promotional tests, analyze, and provide recommendations
Analyze historic promotions and utilize findings to plan future promotions
Partner with Merchandising, Inventory, and Operations to create optimal markdown strategies at item/category levels
Proactively seek ways to improve processes and reporting, and possesses the intellectual curiosity to continuously analyze data
Assist with operational needs of team, including execution of price changes and updating of reporting
Reports to the Director of Pricing and Promotions
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with data modeling and what-if scenario modeling
Strong financial acumen
3 - 5 years professional experience
