Advertised Summary Job Description

The Technician B will work with the principal investigator and the other members of the laboratory and will participate in multiple research projects that are directed towards the understanding of mechanisms that govern class switch recombination and somatic hypermutation in B-lymphocytes leading to generation of antibodies in our body. Specifically, candidate will perform Chromatin immunoprecipitation assays and genome-wide sequencing experiments.

The technician will be required to maintain mouse colonies involved for these project, assist in lab management, organize the lab and perform duties directed towards ordering reagents and maintaining laboratory inventories. The technician will also assist the other members in the laboratory in performing experiments and generating reagents, buffers etc. the technician will be expected to maintain a records of all the lab activities including the experiments that he/she will perform.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade

Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Requires a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics or related science or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. experience.

Candidates with previous research experience and/or administrative experience will be given preference.
