Advertised Summary Job Description

The Technician Assistant will report to the Director of Clinical Trials in the Department of Surgery. The Technician Assistant will be responsible for database entry, coordinating the day-to-day activities of research projects, and scheduling and conducting pre-operative information sessions with cardiac patients. S/he may also be responsible for collecting, processing and shipping lab/pathology specimens. Will maintain and organize research charts and help to prepare for monitoring visits, and other duties as assigned. Will work closely with the Department of Surgery Research Team, office staff and clinicians.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade

Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

High School graduate or equivalency certificate. Technical training or equivalency and some related laboratory experience, usually six months.

The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo a drug screening test prior to a final offer of employment being made.
