KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Manageinvestment portfolios (moderate to complex) designed to achieve the financialobjectives of individual clients
Servesas primary point of contact to develop and enhance client relationships throughfrequent contact with all interested parties
Communicatesadvice to clients that may be local or located in the region of the PAM office;understands the nuances of managing relationships based on complexity, distanceand accessibility
Canclearly articulate the role of the Portfolio Manager to prospective high networth clients during sales calls with Wealth Management partners.
Workwith investment management/advisory clients to manage investment portfolioswith the goal of meeting goals/objectives.This would include defining the client’s investment goals andobjectives, constructing a portfolio to meet those goals, and communicatingnecessary adjustments
Assessthe client’s “big picture” goals, risk tolerance and investments to manage theportfolio in light of the other assets that may remain outside of TIAA’smanagement
Maintainand enhance relationships with existing clients. Promote investment product sales throughregular client meetings and discussions cover investment strategy, assetallocation and the goals/objectives of the client
Workwithin a team environment to ensure that the client’s service expectations arebeing met
At least 5years of client relationship/service experience, preferably in financialplanning or portfolio management for the developing proficiency
Abilityto work independently or in a centralized team environment, providing portfolioanalysis and asset allocation recommendations to clients with portfolios thathave moderate to high levels of complexity
Demonstratedability to successfully manage multiple portfolios independently within establishedinvestment guidelines
Excellentcommunication, relationship building and analytical skills
Experienceworking effectively within a team environment
In-depthunderstanding of the various products and services offered within TIAA
InvestmentAdvisor Registration (IAR) is preferred and the Certified Financial Planner(CFP) for Core PMs and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) for Regional PMs, isrequired. Additional designations alsopreferable and include: Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), PersonalFinancial Specialist (PFS), or Chartered Investment Counselor (CIC)
Usesanalytical skills to produce a range of solutions to complex problems
Makesrational and timely judgments on the basis of available information
