POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is for a Cloud Solutions Developer/ Architect. This role is for a delivery focused technical expert that has had experience designing, implementing, and architecting cloud solutions. This role is assist the Cloud Strategy and Engineering teams build an enterprise wide platform in which it can grow.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Identify, design and implement flexible, responsive, and secure technology platforms focused around IaaS and PaaS platform including containerization and micro-services.

  • Conduct technology assessments to validate an enterprise baseline and establish a technical direction

  • Coordinate, direct, and co-architect between various technology teams

  • Research and evaluate Cloud infrastructure strategies, hardware/software, security and networking products

  • Advise management of enterprise cloud solutions that include, risk, cost and benefits analysis along with other impacts to infrastructure solutions

  • Set technical standards for Cloud infrastructure, containers, security baselines, policies and procedures

  • Develop and document infrastructure support policies and guidelines

  • Monitor trends and recommend future architecture strategies and roadmaps

  • Educate and mentor technology support staff as needed, including requisite training on technology and governance

  • Facilitate and understand cost basis of ITaaS solutions

  • Research and stay current on infrastructure best practices and function as a subject matter expert

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Experience

  • Ten or more years of technogy infrustructure and/or development expeirance

  • Two or more years of Amazon AWS Cloud products (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB, EMR, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, etc.) experience

  • Understanding AWS architectures and design principles

  • Understanding of server-less code concepts

  • Docker, Kubernetes, containers and related technologies.

  • Experience with Puppet, Shell scripting and automation principles

  • Engineering and architecting enterprise grade solutions in AWS or another public cloud environment

  • Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD processes

  • Five or more years of Red Hat Linux, Windows, Networking, and/or storage management experience preferred

  • Microsoft Azure cloud products and design experience preferred

  • Cloudforms and OpenShift experience a plus.

  • Oracle, MYSQL, Python, NodeJS, nginx, & tomcat experience preferred
