Provides finance support for Fragrance and Skincare brands in North America. The ideal candidate will be a proactive financial professional with a firm understanding of accounting and financial concepts, problem solving skills and business/industry knowledge. Position requires candidate to be able to work well with cross-functional teams and business partners at the brand, affiliate and corporate levels. The following describes key areas of responsibility.


  • Support management of advertising & promotion (A&P) decks to plan, track and analyze program spend. Assist with A&P financial planning efforts, ensuring decks are planned and maintained to support franchise marketing initiatives, key account, product line, and category details.

  • Assist with all financial forecasts, including monthly estimate processes and annual planning/budget cycles.

  • Assist with monthly financial close process, including variance analysis, journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Analyze and prepare gross margin reporting, variance analyses by P&L line / category, and commentary on product category, franchise, and channel levels.

  • Provide guidance for and manage accurate spend categorization and recording by P&L line, product category, channel, cost center and GL accounts

  • Ensure financial accuracy of areas responsible, including adherence to company processes/policies, GAAP and internal controls Assist and prepare P&Ls to franchise, product line level to track performance and ensure alignment to financial and strategic goals.

  • Support the NA capital planning and budget process / ensure A&P and fixed asset spend meeting capital criteria and thresholds is capitalized.

  • Initiate process and reporting improvements while driving out non value added work.

  • Participate in / support regional finance projects and implementation plans.

  • Support finance directors with daily and ad-hoc projects requiring financial and business analysis


  • Position requires 2 years of work experience in consumer goods and related industries

  • College/University degree in Finance/Accounting or related field required

  • Proficiency with Excel, and accounting/financial reporting systems (SAP including BW / Business Explorer, Oracle CPM / Hyperion / Essbase, Data Warehouse preferred)

  • Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and finance/accounting concepts

  • Strong analytical skills, proven problem-solving capabilities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required

  • Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines and to multitask

  • Proactive individual looking to continuously take on responsibility and improve processes and procedures

  • Ability to work independently and in groups
