The Director of Corporate Development will identify, prioritize and pursue M&A transactions across healthcare data, services and technology verticals in support of QuintilesIMS' business units. The right candidate will lead multiple deal teams in evaluating potential transactions. Those transactions will range from small minority investments to larger acquisitions that may exceed $1B in enterprise value.
This position will offer the candidate high visibility throughout the organization working with the C-suite and other senior level team members.

Build relationships across business units and functions to develop and manage M&A pipeline and growth goals
Identify acquisition targets, develop a funnel of deals and lead the transaction execution
Develop, present and defend investment theses and investment recommendations
Build and refine complex financial models for company valuation purposes
Perform ad hoc financial analyses for a range of strategic M&A initiatives
Analyze and interpret financial statements and clearly convey conclusions and insights
Perform market research, develop strategic initiatives and build business plans
Work with IMS Health senior executives, the TPG investment team, the IMS Health deal team, business unit colleagues, external company management teams and advisors on a regular basis
Oversee and maintain a deal pipeline, track market M&A activity, put together internal updates, and create deal review presentations for Global Head of Business Development, CFO, CEO and Board of Directors
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Relevant corporate development experience or deal experience with an investment bank or private equity firm
Knowledge of acquisition diligence, financial modeling and valuation
Prior experience leading due diligence efforts and managing the deal process from beginning to end
Ability to successfully manage a multi-deal pipeline
Deal sourcing experience preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills
Excellent presentation skills
Prior experience and understanding of the pharmaceutical, healthcare and /or information technology industries preferred but not required

Excellent communicator that can inspire confidence as well as engage in healthy debate

- Bachelor's degree in Business Management and 8-10 years' related experience, including 5 years of relevant industry (CRO/Pharmaceutical) experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience; MBA strongly preferred
