Suffolk is hiring a Talent Acquisition Manager for our People & Culture team. Reporting to Suffolk's national Vice President of Talent Acquisition and working out of our New York City office located at One Penn Plaza, this role would be responsible for recruitment of both operational and non-operational positions to support the growth of our New York City office. The role involves, but is not limited to, developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies for current and future roles, screening, interviewing and recommending candidates for hire, influencing, motivating and maintaining the interest of strong candidates, managing “Best in Class” candidate experiences throughout the interview process, and simultaneously maintaining strong relationships with internal hiring managers.
Source, identify, pre-screen and qualify candidates prior to face to face interviews
Present an accurate description of the position as well as company history to prospective candidates
Update candidate records via company Applicant Tracking System (iCims) to maintain current accurate information
Educate hiring managers on the recruiting process and the roles involved in the process
Build & maintain a national pipeline of qualified candidates for future opportunities
Utilize the ATS, employee referrals, social media and networking to identify potential candidates
Summarize weekly, the status of all “open” searches throughout the company
Screen/source resumes and qualify candidates; post and maintain positions on various job boards
Coordinate the hiring process
Work closely with Hiring Managers to develop position profile and to understand overall needs and requirements. (Description, salary, timing, expectations, etc.)
Develop and manage strong consultative relationships with hiring managers and candidates
Perform competitive research
As part of Suffolk's People & Culture team, provide a “Best in class” on-boarding experience to all new hires
Bachelor’s degree preferred
3-10 Years of recruiting experience, ideally in the A/E/C industry
High sense of urgency
Experience in dealing professionally with outside Executive Search firms
Must be extremely detail-oriented
Must be a Team Player
Previous experience with ICims ATS is a plus
