Position Title: Manager, Business Transformation

Location: Hoboken, NJ

Reports to: Director, Transformation

The Transformation Office is structured as the in-house strategy consulting arm of Newell

Brands, tackling the most pressing issues on Leadership’s strategic agenda.

Strategic Cost Reduction (Zero Based Budgeting) is one of the key programs that will play an integral role in helping the company achieve its ambition to build a strong and sustainable cost- conscious culture. The Manager will partner with the CFOs of the different divisions, HR, FP&A, and Transformation leadership to drive the full Zero Based Budgeting process. Key emphasis will be placed on ROI analysis and evaluating the strategic tradeoffs, rather than pure cost cutting.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead team to develop workplan, solve ad-hocproblems, and conduct workshops in order to drive a successful project.

  • Partnerwith key finance leaders to understand the companies spend by differentcategories, functions, and geographies.

  • Develop hypothesis and proof out different areasthe company can save money by analyzing key ratios (spend to FTE), drivers, andmodel out impact of potential policy changes.

  • Use advanced analytics for possiblecontingencies (i.e., sensitivity analytics, ROI, etc.) and analyze risks andopportunities that result from recommendations.

  • Partnerwith division CFOs, FP&A and other stakeholders to integrate ZBB intoplanning process

  • Partner with IT, Analytics and businessstakeholders to develop a methodology for ongoing reporting to ensure that weachieve savings.

  • Professionally challenge current and/ortraditional ways of thinking and lead new ways/approaches.

Qualifications:

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance,Business Administration or equivalent.

  • 8-10 years’ relevant experience in ManagementConsulting, Accounting, or Finance.

  • Must have strategic capabilities and be comfortable with hands-on, tactical execution

  • Established leader with a proven track record of problem solving and analytics, is comfortable with operating in various financial systems, and can work across a matrix

  • Operational and Business Finance exposure.

  • Initiative, problem solving dexterity andfollow-up, including a strong sense of autonomy.

  • Flexible with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, data analytics, and PowerPoint

  • Preferred exposure to SAP, HFM, Access, PowerPivot

  • Familiarity with chart of accounts structure.

  • Investment Evaluation and Project Management skills.

  • Demonstrated track record of leadingteams, effectively building partnerships and managing and resolving challenges.

  • Ability to analyze and assess organizationalneeds and provide solutions.

  • Interpersonalsavvy.
