We are looking for someone to serve as the Employee Communications Specialist (Special Projects and Events) to serve as part of our Corporate Communications team with responsibility for developing and coordinating a variety of internal communications publications and projects.

Employee Communications Specialist (Special Projects and Events) (1702180) – Florham Park, NJ

Formula for Success: You Will…

  • Using creative storytelling, develop interesting, engaging content for various forms of communication, including newsletters, intranet, digital signage and face-to-face.

  • Demonstrate technical aptitude to work with content management systems and use digital tools to support content needs (e.g., light photo editing, graphic design).

  • Coordinate employee events at the site and regional level that promote employee engagement and strengthen the BASF employer brand.

  • Work closely with other members of the regional and global communications team to ensure alignment of messages and plans. Develop region or site specific messaging as required.

  • Support Corporate Communications management and peers on various programs/projects. This includes writing content and creating design materials as required. The support may include EHS programs such as Global Safety Days, Executive Communications such as Regional Town Halls, Regional Business/Function Town Halls and others items as needed.

  • Serve as Safety Observe Coordinator for Corporate Communications team.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related field required.

  • A minimum of 5 years of communications experience required; employee/internal communications preferred.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills required; experience publishing newsletters is a plus.

  • Design skills and knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign required.

  • Ability to work independently and with others at all levels and across functions.
